REFERRALS

Referrals are not required to make an appointment. If you would like to access Medicare rebates then you will need a referral with a Mental Health Care Plan.

You can ask your GP to fax a referral to 03 9102 5322 or you can email it to info@melbourneccpsychology.com.au. We also receive referrals via secure message including HealthLink and ReferralNet.

Please note that all session fees including cancellation fees are the responsibility of the client. We do not bill third party funders including NDIS / NDIA, WorkSafe or TAC. You may be able to be reimbursed in part by your funder. Please contact your third party funder to discuss. Each Psychologist that practices within MCCP does NOT have NDIS Registration as a Service Provider. Each Psychologist within MCCP does not directly claim payment through the NDIS / NDIA Electronic Payments System. Please discuss with your Plan Manager if you are eligible for rebates / funding for assessments or therapy. 

ONLINE SESSIONS

If you have arranged an online session, you will receive a telehealth link within your appointment confirmation and reminder emails. Simply click on the link for access to your session. 

CANCELLATIONS

Your appointment is reserved especially for you. Should you wish to change or cancel your appointment, please notify us at least 48 hours (business days) in advance to avoid a cancellation fee (Thursday for Monday appointments and Friday for Tuesday appointments). If you do not arrive or cancel with less than 48 hours notice then a 100% cancellation fee will be applied. This fee is not claimable under Medicare or Health Funds.

We encourage you to change your appointment to an online consultation if you are unwell. You will be eligible for your rebate for all online / telephone consultations. 

FEES

Please call or email to discuss our schedule of fees and rebates available to you. Each Psychologist sets their own fees including cancellation fees, and does not bulk bill. You must have a valid referral and mental health care plan from your GP, Psychiatrist or Paediatrician to claim medicare rebates. Medicare rebates (between $101.55 and $149.05 per session) can be processed for you (please see section on Medicare rebates). The rebate can be significantly higher (90% of fee) if you have reached your Medicare Threshold.

Third party funders: We bill select third party funders only. NDIS therapy sessions are privately billed. Assessments for NDIS can be billed to NDIS directly. Please note there may be a gap payable for some third party funding and you may not be eligible for reimbursement for missed or late cancellation sessions.

Fees are payable on the day. We accept online payment and EFT, Visa or MasterCard only.

MEDICARE REBATE AVAILABLE

If you are referred by your GP, Psychiatrist or a Paediatrician with a Mental Health Care Plan you will be eligible for a Medicare rebate (between $101.55 and $149.05 per session) for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. The referral must state the number of sessions and the GP must have lodged the Medicare item to medicare to activate the plan with Medicare. An Eating Disorder Care Plan may entitle you to a Medicare rebate for up to 40 sessions for a 12 month period. You must obtain a new Eating Disorder Plan every 12 months and we recommend that you put the date in your diary as a reminder. You will need to pay the full fee for the session and then we can process the rebate for you (Medicare usually deposits this in your account within 24 hours).
